Dr. Carol Penn - Bone Health 09/06/2010
On Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, we had Dr. Carol Penn join us again. The topic was "bone health" for all ages. What we discovered was the fact that we overlook many aspects of our body functions, I guess, believing that what we don't see is working without our help. That rule of thought is way off base and could interfere with us being able to live a long healthy life. She explained that your health is in your hands and by eating a proper diet rich with green leafy vegetables, grain, nuts, fruits, coupled with daily exercise is a wonderful foundation for a good healthy life. She also mentioned that men are at equal risk for developing bone maladies as women and they too must adhere to a good daily diet and exercise regimen.
